How I Built an AI-Powered Feedback Analysis Agent to Automate My UX Research and Save Hours of Manual Work
I’m super excited to share something amazing I’ve recently built! But first, let me introduce myself again — I'm a Product Designer, which means I spend most of my days deeply immersed in crafting beautiful and intuitive user experiences. But there's always been one part of my work that’s felt particularly tedious: synthesizing user feedback.
Why, you ask? Well, imagine reading hundreds of feedback entries, sorting them, and identifying patterns manually. It’s essential but very, very time-consuming. So I thought, what if there was a way to automate this? 🤔
That’s exactly how the idea of building my very own AI-powered feedback analysis agent came to life!
Why Did I Build This Agent? 🤖
Simply put, I wanted to streamline my research workflow. Going through piles of feedback manually was not only exhausting but also left room for human error and bias. I craved a solution that would quickly and accurately summarize data, identify trends, visualize insights with charts, and neatly package the results right into my Gmail inbox. Pretty cool, right?
The Magic Ingredients ✨
Since I'm not a developer by trade, I decided to use some brilliant no-code and low-code platforms, alongside the power of AI:
- n8n for automating and connecting everything smoothly.
- OpenAI (with the amazing GPT-4o model) to analyze and understand user feedback.
- Google Sheets as a simple database where all user feedback lives.
- Gmail to automatically send me beautifully formatted email summaries.
- QuickChart for generating various charts.
I didn't have to write complex code myself. Instead, I used ChatGPT to generate all the JSON and JavaScript snippets I needed. Yup! I asked an AI to help me build my AI!

These insights are transformed into beautiful, clear charts using QuickChart integration, offering visual clarity at a glance.
